An important mission of Pomfret School is to recruit and retain a diverse, inspiring, and knowledgeable faculty dedicated to working with day and boarding students in a residential environment.

At the heart of the remarkable Pomfret community is the close and treasured relationship between students and teachers. Our faculty members are rare, multi-talented individuals who connect with students in every facet of their lives; in the classroom, on the playing field, in the academic advising office, and in the community.

  • Mr. Bobby Fisher
    Director of Spiritual and Ethical Education
    University of Alabama - B.A.
    Columbia Theological Seminary - M.Div.
    Bobby Fisher has been a private school educator for the last twenty one years, working closely with students and teachers in a variety of roles. Bobby earned his B.A. in history from The University of Alabama and his M.Div. from Columbia Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He joined the faculty of Pomfret School in 2002, and during his time at Pomfret, Bobby has served as school chaplain, religion teacher, soccer and tennis coach, dorm parent, faculty advisor, and dean of faculty. While Bobby continues to serve the community as school chaplain, his newest role has expanded his work as Director of Spiritual and Ethical Education. Bobby lives on campus in the Class of 1989 House with his wife, Erin, and three daughters, Sydney (’17), Maddie (’19), and Tatum.
  • Mrs. Erin Fisher
    Director of the Collaborative Learning Center

    Columbia University - M.S.W.
    Erin received her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her Master's of Social Work from Columbia University. Prior to coming to Pomfret, Erin served as therapist and learning specialist at the Cooperative Learning Center, an alternative school for students with learning differences in Asheville, NC. She also worked in the same capacity at Mill Springs Academy, a private LD school in Atlanta, GA. Erin played collegiate soccer at Cornell where she was Captain and an All-Ivy, Academic All-Ivy, and Academic All-American selection. She also coaches club soccer in the ECNL for FSA FC and holds her USSF "C" License. Erin is on the board for both the NEPSAC and WWNEPSSA girls' soccer coaching associations and she and her husband, Bobby, live on campus with their three daughters, Sydney, Madison, and Tatum.
  • Ms. Jillian K. Forgue
    Spanish Teacher
    Vassar College - B.A.
    Middlebury College - M.A.
    Jillian is a graduate of Vassar and has worked for three years at Hyde where she taught Spanish, lived in a dorm and coached.  She will coach Cross Country and Softball.
  • Mr. Anthony Foronda
    3-D Animation
    Maryland Institute College of Art - B.F.A.
    Anthony teaches 3-D animation in the Digital Arts Department. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, his work has graced the pages of the New York Times,Washington Post, Miami Herald, and National Public Radio, to name a few. Anthony also teaches at Quinebaug Valley Community College and owns a graphic design firm, Studio Foronda, which focuses on branding, web design, print media, and advertising. Anthony lives in Putnam with his wife Michelle, daughter Beatrice, cat Atticus, and dog Sula.
