 | News and Information Employment Pomfret School is a boarding and day school located in the beautiful northeast corner of Connecticut. The school is committed to preparing students for the intellectual rigors of college and for the personal and moral demands of adolescence and adulthood. Therefore, we seek to hire men and women who are moved to share their knowledge and passion for a particular discipline and to shape good citizens--citizens who will involve themselves positively in the life of the community.
To accomplish these goals, we believe faculty must commit to spending time with students, getting to know them as people, speaking honestly with them, holding them accountable, and demonstrating by doing. We also believe faculty must model the values they hope to instill in their students--a love of learning, a commitment to excellence, a concern for the common good and respect for others, a strong work ethic, and empathy. Finally, we seek faculty members who are willing and skilled at working together to create a positive environment for learning and growing.
