Highlights for Prospective International Students

• Longstanding tradition of welcoming students from around the world, 12 percent of our student body hails from 13 different countries.

• International students hold leadership positions and are vital members of our International Club and cultural activities held on campus.

• The popular Culture Fest is a week-long celebration that includes a special dining hall menu of international cuisine; an afternoon of shopping, cooking and dining amongst students and faculty from various cultures; and an evening of performances devoted to educating our community on the various countries represented at our school.

• Pomfret supports international students by offering shuttles to specialty and ethnic grocery stores and restaurants; arranging for homestays when students are unable to return to their countries for major vacations; visa, I-20, and passport assistance; and transportation to and from airports during holiday breaks.

Applying
Application Process for International Students

• The admissions process is the same for international and domestic students. However, students whose first language is not English are expected to take the TOEFL exam in addition to the other required tests.

• During the application process, most of our international applicants visit our campus for their required interview and tour. During December and January, Pomfret hosts special afternoons for prospective international students. Please contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
