Pomfret Leadership Giving Societies At Pomfret, there are nine giving societies to recognize donors for their generous contributions or the equivalent of their contribution and matching gift to the Annual Fund. All donors are recognized by society in the school's annual report.
Sundial Society: Pomfret’s Sundial Society recognizes those individuals who contribute $50,000 or more during the fiscal year.
Benefactor's Society: Pomfret’s Benefactor’s Society recognizes those individuals who contribute $25,000 or more during the fiscal year.
The Headmaster's Society: The Headmaster's Society, recognizes those individuals who contribute between $10,000 and $24,999 during the fiscal year.
The Peck Society: The Peck Society, named in honor of William E. Peck, founder of the School and headmaster from 1894 until his untimely death in1897, recognizes those individuals who contribute between $5,000 and $9,999 during the fiscal year.
1894 Society: The 1894 Society, named for the year in which Pomfret School was founded, recognizes those individuals who contribute $1,894 - $4,999 or more during the fiscal year.
The Olmsted Society: The Olmsted Society, named in honor of William Beach Olmsted, revered headmaster of Pomfret School from 1897 through 1929, recognizes individuals who contribute between $1,000 and $1,893 during the fiscal year.
Other Giving Society Levels:
The Lefferts Society: The Lefferts Society, named in honor of Halleck Lefferts, headmaster of Pomfret School from 1930 through 1942, recognizes individuals who contribute between $500 and $999 during the fiscal year.
The Strong Society: The Strong Society, named in honor of Dexter K. Strong, headmaster from 1942 to 1951, recognizes individuals who contribute between $250 and $499 during the fiscal year.
The Century Club: The Century Club recognizes those who contribute between $100 and $249 during the fiscal year.
Graduates of the last nine years may join any of the above giving societies by making a gift of one half the minimum level
of any society. |
